Fabulous Healthcare Staffing Agency is currently seeking experienced and detail-oriented Laboratory Technicians (Lab Techs) to join our team. As a Lab Tech with our agency, you will play a crucial role in performing laboratory tests and procedures to assist healthcare providers in diagnosing and treating patients. You will work in a collaborative environment, utilizing state-of-the-art equipment and technology to deliver accurate and timely test results.
- Perform routine and specialized laboratory tests and procedures, such as blood tests, urinalysis, and microbiological cultures
- Prepare specimens for analysis, including labeling, centrifugation, and aliquoting
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and instrumentation according to established protocols
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols to ensure accurate and reliable test results
- Analyze test results and report findings to healthcare providers in a timely manner
- Maintain accurate records of test results, quality control data, and instrument maintenance logs
- Assist with inventory management and ordering of supplies as needed
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals
- Associate's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or related field
- Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience working in a clinical laboratory setting preferred
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Basic understanding of laboratory instrumentation and procedures
- Must pass a background check and drug screening
