Fabulous Healthcare Staffing Agency is currently seeking compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to join our team. As a DSP with our agency, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of individuals with disabilities by providing person-centered care and support. You will work collaboratively with individuals, their families, and interdisciplinary teams to promote independence, inclusion, and quality of life
- Provide direct care and support to individuals with disabilities in residential or community-based settings
- Assist individuals with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation
- Support individuals in participating in social, recreational, and educational activities
- Promote independence and self-determination by assisting individuals in setting and achieving personal goals
- Advocate for the rights and preferences of individuals, ensuring their voices are heard and respected
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, following proper protocols and documentation procedures
- Maintain accurate records of services provided and individual progress
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, including healthcare professionals, therapists, and case managers
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred
- Compassionate and empathetic approach to care
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Basic understanding of medical terminology and procedures
- Must pass a background check and drug screening
